Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes in Szczecin. Renaissance castle, located on Castle Hill. It is the historical seat of the Gryfit family, rulers of the Pomeranian Duchy. The origins of today’s castle date back to 1346, partially destroyed in 1944, rebuilt in 1958-1980. There are many cultural institutions here, including the Castle Cinema, the Crypt Theatre, the cabaret “Piwnica Przy Krypcie” or the Opera at the Castle.
